I’m looking for books that will help writers, whether that is teaching writing techniques, showing how the business of writing works, or providing encouragement along the way. My rating of one to five stars is based on how helpful I think this book is to aspiring writers.
A book will only get a one-star rating if (in my opinion) it actively harms writers. Otherwise, two is my lowest rating.
A book will only get a five-star rating if (in my opinion) it’s essential reading for most, if not all, writers. What I’m saying is, four stars = I loved it a whole lot and you will too. Five stars = life-changing.
If a book falls between stars, I round up.
